About Loonaut
Loonaut finds the nearest public toilet, anywhere in the world. It serves people on a phone. It serves AI agents through an open API and an MCP server.
What Loonaut does
You open Loonaut and see the nearest toilet that you can use. It shows the distance, the walking time, the access rule, the opening state and the last time a person confirmed it. When a fact is not known, Loonaut says so. It does not guess.
Where the data comes from
The toilets come from OpenStreetMap, where people map them. People on Loonaut correct facts by vote. The data is open under the ODbL.
Free for everyone
Finding a toilet is free. You need no account. Businesses will be able to buy a Verified Partner label for their toilet. The label never changes the order of the results.
Who runs Loonaut
Arne Kellmann runs Loonaut in Germany. The legal notice has the full details.
Use with care
Toilet data comes from volunteers and open sources. A toilet can be closed, moved or gone. Do not rely on Loonaut in an emergency. Call the emergency number.
